This is a really nice keyboard. I have a wireless keyboard already, however it's an older style with a lot of key travel. I chose this keyboard as it looks to have a shallower travel to make typing easier, quicker and quieter – it does.

Ergonomically, the keyboard is raised slightly at the back to present the keys, particularly those at the top, towards your fingers to make them easier to reach. It runs on 2 AA batteries (not included) and, when turned on, shows a steady orange light. When the batteries start to run low there is a warning light that appears to the right, above the numbers.
The keys are very nicely spaced and, without doubt, it's a really nice keyboard to type with. Each key press is precise and quiet.

The finish on the keyboard and mouse is modern looking and, even though it's quite shiny, it doesn't appear to pick up too many finger marks. All of the main keys and shortcuts are present, including a number of extra options with the function key – these are mainly to control volume, media and shortcuts to Home, Email, Folders etc.

If I have one area that I feel could be improved upon, it's that the left Shift button and the Backspace button could do with being a little larger. I understand that they're that size for the aesthetic appeal, but I use the backspace button a lot (I probably type quicker than my ability…) so a bigger target to hit would be welcome.

The mouse fits snugly in the hand and has a ribbed texture to the sides to aid grip. The centre wheel scrolls smoothly and has precise scrolling control. The mouse glides wonderfully over all surfaces and is very satisfying to use. I've tried the mouse on a variety of surfaces and it tracks very accurately.

Setting up the keyboard and mouse to use is straightforward, simply remove the USB transmitter (stored in the bottom of the mouse) and plug it into a USB port – that's it. It connects automatically. Both the keyboard and mouse go into standby mode when not being used to preserve battery and they wake up with very little delay as soon as you start using them.

As you may have guessed, I'm very pleased with my new keyboard and mouse purchase and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Received quickly and found the Mouse/keyboard combo to work very well. The mouse is a very basic model with only a scroll wheel and DPI button. As most of us only use the mouse in a basic fashion, this is no problem. As with all the TeckNet mice I have used it works fine and appears to be the same one as I got for my wife's laptop. It is full sized but of a lower profile than most, making it easier to pack into a bag for travel. It is also suitable for both left and right handed people and feels pleasant and comfortable in the hand.

The keyboard is a full sized one with numeric keypad and special function buttons for Volume up/down, mute, pause/play, mail, search and internet. The mail button brings up the Windows 10 mail app but I assume it will invoke your default mail app whatever it is. Same goes for the browser. The keyboard (and mouse) auto sleep and restart as soon as you use them and the keyboard has a red light to show it is active. It does not, however have lights to indicate caps lock or num lock but I guess this is to save battery power. Not too much of a problem but a little annoying although most newer laptops don't either.

Both mouse and keyboard work with the same plug in USB transmitter (tiny) which is most handy. Battery life to be determined, however, all the mice I have had from TeckNet have run for over 2 years, even the one that only claimed 18 months so I am hopeful of the keyboard too.

All in all a great piece of kit. Recommended

I am using this full size keyboard and mouse combination with Nexus 10 tablet (see the pictures), but it works perfectly with any computer (I have tested both desktop and laptop running Ubuntu Linux 16.04.3) and also with most Android mobile devices (I have tested on LG G4). The advantage of using this keyboard+mouse combination is obvious: you only use up a single USB port rather than two separate USB ports for a mouse and a keyboard. On the tablets and mobiles this makes a crucial difference as there is only a single USB port available.

This also works with Smart TV (tested with Samsung UE32M5500 32") and it is much more convenient than using the remote control that comes with the TV. Fortunately, my TV has two USB ports, so I can use one port for the video player and another for the nano-receiver that comes with this keyboard and mouse set.

The mouse has an ON/OFF switch which is useful not only for conserving the battery life, but also when suspending a laptop. Usually, the system is configured to wake up not only on keypress (or opening the cover lid) but also on mouse click or even move. So, an accidental mouse click could wake up your suspended laptop and since its cover lid is closed the ventilation would be blocked and it will overheat and burn. But if you remember to turn the mouse switch to OFF position, then this disaster will be prevented.

So, in summary: this is a very versatile piece of kit: works with a myriad of devices and the keyboard is very pleasant to type and quiet (I am using it right now to type this review). I am very happy with this purchase and can safely recommend it.
